Good evening Hampton Place and Hampton Hall residents,

As we move into the holiday season and the days get darker earlier, I want to share a few quick crime-prevention reminders to help keep our community safe.

Please remember to lock your vehicles, remove valuables, and leave your porch lights on during evening hours. We had a vehicle stolen in the subdivision earlier due to keys being left inside, so please double-check that your keys are secured and never left in your car.

With Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Christmas approaching, shopping activity increases—and criminals know this. When you go out to shop, consider using the buddy system, avoid carrying large amounts of cash, and whenever possible, go inside the bank branch instead of using outside ATMs. Please refrain from storing gifts inside vehicles.

For home deliveries, plan to pick up packages as soon as possible, and consider asking a trusted neighbor to secure them if you’re unavailable.

As always, report any suspicious activity immediately to the police or your COPS liaison. Your awareness helps keep the entire neighborhood safe.

Stay safe, and please see the attached flyers for more information.

Respectfully,

Juan A. Reyes | Master Police Officer

COPS Program Purpose:
The purpose of the C.O.P.S. program is to create a police and community partnership to reduce the likelihood of crime occurring in our area. This is accomplished by many techniques including training residents on how to recognize, report and reduce community problems.

Our community now has an assigned police liaison officer, Officer Juan Reyes. We will keep in contact with him through our Cops Commitee monitored email at HamptonCOPS@yahoo.com to help facilitate communication. We have also established a team of resident volunteers to act as Block Captains. The Block Captains  assist with  communication between Hampton residents and the C.O.P.S. program.
